F&GP Minutes of Meetings

Notes of the Finance and General Purposes Committee Meeting held on Monday 17 April 2023 at 2pm.

37. APOLOGIES, DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST AND APPLICATIONS FOR DISPENSATION:

    1. APOLOGIES: received and accepted from ClIrs Mrs Aspinall, Peck & Fothergill.
    2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST: none
    3. APPLICATIONS FOR DISPENSATION: no

38. NOTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING held on the 9 January 2023 had previously been circulated and were approved for signature as the Minutes.

39. MATTERS OUTSTANDING:

The installation of the updated CCTV system and the intruder Alarm have been completed. The replacement of the windows in the Community Centre is ongoing.

40. REVIEW COUNCILS RISK ASSESSMENT:

The Risk Register was reviewed and the updated CCTV and Intruder Alarm were added in section 2.2.

41. FINANCIAL STATEMENTS:

The fourth quarter financial statements were discussed and it was noted that there has been a slight overspend on the Precept for the financial year 2022/23.

42. BANK RECONCILIATION:

The bank reconciliations were proposed, seconded and resolved, for signature.

43. UPDATE OF EARMARKED RESERVES:

The clerk advised that the Earmarked Reserves had been updated for the end of the financial year and the various movements were agreed and will be recommended to Full Council for resolution.

44. YEARLY UPDATE OF THE COUNCIL'S GRANTS POLICY AND ASSOCIATED PAPERWORK:

After lengthy discussion, updates to the policy and application documents were agreed and will be recommended to Full Council for resolution.

45. Under the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 Councillors resolved to move into closed session for the following items: NONE
