Minutes of the Finance and General Purposes Committee Meeting held on Wednesday 9th April 2025 at 2pm.

Also Present: Clerk, Miss K Broddle.

In Attendance:  None.

 

34/24-25. APOLOGIES, DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST AND APPLICATIONS FOR DISPENSATION:

      a.   No apologies were received.

 

35/24-25. NOTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING held on the 8th January 2025 had previously been circulated and were approved for signature as the Minutes.  

 

36/24-25. MATTERS OUTSTANDING: 

       None.

  

37/24-25. REVIEW COUNCILS RISK ASSESSMENT:  

The Risk Register was reviewed with no amendments needed.

 

38/24-25. FINANCIAL STATEMENTS:

   The fourth quarter financial statements were discussed with no issues arising.

 

 39/24-25. BANK RECONCILLIATION:

    The bank reconciliations, for January, February and March were proposed, seconded and resolved 

    and signed.

 

  40/24-25. UPDATE ON EARMARKED RESRVES MOVEMENT:

The clerk advised movement to the following earmarked reserves: staffing, community centre, playing fields maintenance, tree maintenance, dog & litter bins, new play equipment, projects and forward plan.

 

41/24-25.DISCUSS COSTINGS/BUDGETS FOR THE REPLACEMENT BRIDGE OVER THE SINCIL 

DRAIN/SOUTH DELPH: 

      It was discussed that the next stages, for this project were: consultation, further quotes and contact 

with the EA regarding a service level agreement. 

 

42/24-25 CLARIFICATION OF HIRE RATES OF THE COMMUNITY CENTRE:

      It was agreed that the three clubs who are not quite paying the correct hire charges, are to be 

given a written notice that the appropriate charge will be payable from 1st October 2025.  This will 

then bring all users to the current charge.

 

There being no further business the meeting closed at 2.50pm
