Finance and General Purposes Committee Meeting
Will be held on Monday 9 January 2023 at 2.00pm in the Civic Office
AGENDA
  1. In accordance with the Localism Act 2011, to receive:
    1. apologies and reasons for absence
    2. declarations of interest
    3. applications for dispensation
  1. Notes of the Finance and General Purposes Committee meeting held on the 10 October 2022 to be approved as the minutes.
  1. Matters Outstanding.
  1. To review Councils’ Risk Register.
  1. To receive the third quarter financial statements, including the Bank Reconciliation.
  1. To recommend that the Council agree the LALC Annual Training Scheme for the 2023/24 year and that all Cllrs Attend the required training during this year and after this year training is paid for on an as needs basis.
  1. To propose that the Clerk moves funds to Earmarked Reserves in March and report to F&GP in April.
  1. To propose a change of date for the April meeting to Wednesday 12th April at 10am, as the scheduled meeting falls on Easter Monday.
  1. To discuss and recommend the changing out of the traditional lighting to LED’s on all Council Buildings.
  1. To discuss for recommendation the Precept request for 2023/24 including:
    1. an assumed contractual wage increase for Council Staff, pending confirmation of the new NALC rates,
    2. the revised Grant budget cap for 2023/24.
