Finance and General Purposes Committee Meeting

Will be held on Wednesday 14th January 2026 at 2.00pm in the Civic Office

 

AGENDA

 

1. In accordance with the Localism Act 2011, to receive:

a. apologies and reasons for absence

b. declarations of interest

c. applications for dispensation

2. Notes of the Finance and General Purposes Committee meeting held on the 8th October 2025 to be approved as the minutes.

 

3. Matters Outstanding.

 

4. To review and update Councils’ Risk Register.

 

5. To receive the third quarter financial statements.

 

6. To consider any issues with the budgets.

 

7. To resolve and sign the bank reconciliation for October, November and December.

 

8. To consider any movement to or from earmarked reserves.

 

9. To propose that the Clerk moves funds into Earmarked Reserves in March 2026 and reports back to F&P for ratification. 

 

10. To consider any updates to the Grants & Donations Application Forms and if necessary recommend these to the Council.

 

11. To discuss for recommendation that the project for 2026/7 be the start of a five-year plan to update areas of the Community Centre and Office.

 

12. To discuss for recommendation, the Precept for 2026/7 including the following financial matters:

a. The precept amount for 2026/27

b. The percentage increase on the precept for 2026/7

c. Salaries – as from 1st April 2026, the Clerk to move to scp35, the Assistant Clerk  to move to scp26 and the Groundsman and Environmental Officer to move to scp13.
