Finance and General Purposes Committee Meeting

Will be held on Monday 8th January 2024 at 2.00pm in the Civic Office

AGENDA

  1. In accordance with the Localism Act 2011, to receive:
    1. apologies and reasons for absence
    2. declarations of interest
    3. applications for dispensation
  2. Notes of the Finance and General Purposes Committee meeting held on the 10 October 2023 to be approved as the minutes.
  3. Matters Outstanding.
  4. To review Councils’ Risk Register.
  5. To receive the third quarter financial statements, including the Bank Reconciliation.
  6. To note that the project for 2024/25, resolved at the December 2023Full Parish Council meeting is the window dressing in the main hall of the Community Centre
  7. To propose that the Clerk moves funds to Earmarked Reserves in March and report to F&GP in April.
  8. To propose a change of day for future meetings of this Committee.  
  9. To recommend the purchase of grass cutting equipment for the tractor.
  10. To recommend the cleaning and re-lining of both MUGA Courts.
  11. To discuss for recommendation the Precept for 2024/25 including the following financial matters:
  12. an assumed contractual wage increases for Council Staff, pending confirmation of the new NALC rates for 2024/25.
  13. the Grant budget cap for 2024/25.
