Finance and General Purposes Committee Meeting

Will be held on Wednesday 9th July 2025 at 2.00pm in the Civic Office

AGENDA

 

  1. In accordance with the Localism Act 2011, to receive:
    1. apologies and reasons for absence
    2. declarations of interest
    3. applications for dispensation
  2. Notes of the Finance and General Purposes Committee meeting held on the 9th April 2025 to be approved as the minutes.

 

  1. Matters Outstanding.

 

  1. To review and update Councils’ risk register.

 

  1. To receive the first quarter financial accounts.

 

  1.  To consider any issues with the budgets.

 

  1. To resolve and sign the bank reconciliations for April, May and June.

 

  1. To consider any movement to or from earmarked reserves.

 

  1. To verify the following:

i. The percentage increase for the precept of 2025/26 is 3.2% on a band D property.

ii. With regard to salaries, as of 1st April 2025 the Clerk moved to SCP 34 and the    Assistant Clerk to SCP 25. The other members of staff remain on SCP 5.

 

  1. To discuss the Internal Auditors checklist regarding the 2024 – 25 audit.
