An Update from Brity First Aid
Dear Clerk,
We work in partnership with British Red Cross and St John Ambulance on first aid training and education.
We have put together a page for your area showing the defibrillators in and around Washingborough, along with a printable poster for noticeboards, churches and community centres, and a short free online course covering the basics: spotting a cardiac arrest, CPR, and using a defibrillator.
In research by St John Ambulance, 52% of people said they did not know where their nearest defibrillator was. When one is used within the first few minutes it makes an enormous difference to whether someone survives. We hope that by working with local communities we can improve that.
